Product Catalog

The Product Catalog section allows you to create, delete, and edit products in the PIM system.

Attention: Full functionality of the section is available for users with the access role: “PIM” Admin.

Viewing Existing Products

To navigate to the Product Catalog workspace in the portal's system menu, go to Store and CatalogProduct Catalog.

Existing products in the system are displayed in the workspace of the section as a list or as cards.

To display products as cards, click the "tiles" icon on the right side of the workspace; to display products as a list, click the "list" icon.

Description of Product List Fields

Filtering Products

  1. Go to the Product Catalog section.

  2. Click the Filters button and select:

    1. For filtering by categories Categories: the multi-select field allows you to set filters for one or more categories. Select the necessary categories.
    2. For filtering by brands Brands: the multi-select field allows you to set filters for one or more brands. Select the necessary brands.
    3. For filtering by manufacturing sites Manufacturing Sites: the multi-select field allows you to set filters for one or more manufacturing sites. Select the necessary manufacturing sites.

    If products that meet the filtering criteria exist in the system, they will be displayed in the section.

  3. To clear the filters, click the Filters button, then click Clear.

In the workspace of the section, enter the product name in the Search field.

If the sought product exists in the catalog, it will be displayed in the catalog workspace.

Managing Products

The PIM system of the portal implements a product model based on the base product and its variants.

Base Product — this is the foundation on which various product variants with differing characteristics are created. The base product can be listed in the catalog but does not have a price.

Product Variant — this is a product that is necessarily tied to a base product and has characteristics different from the base product. The product variant has a price and can be ordered.

Creating a Base Product

  1. In the workspace of the Product Catalog section, click Add.
  2. In the Create Product form, fill in the necessary parameters:
    1. Input field SKU: SKU of the base product. Enter the SKU of the base product.
    2. Selection field Categories: allows you to select existing categories in the PIM system. Select the necessary category.

Attention: For detailed information about product categories, see the Product Categories section.

  1. Selection field Family: allows you to select existing product families in the PIM system. Select the necessary family.

Attention: For detailed information about product families, see the Product Families section.

  1. Selection field Brand: allows you to select existing brands in the PIM system. Select the necessary brand.
  2. Selection field Overall Status: allows you to select existing product statuses in the PIM system. Select the necessary status.

Attention: Filtering by overall status is used when working with price lists.

  1. Section Regional Status: allows you to set the regional status of the product for the selected region. Defines the status of the product for the selected region. Select the necessary status for the corresponding region.
  2. Language tab panel:
    • Default:
      • Input field Name (required): defines the name of the base product. Enter the name of the base product.
      • Input field Short Description (required): defines the short description of the base product. Enter the short description of the base product.
      • Input field Full Description (required): defines the full description of the base product. Enter the full description of the base product.
    • Language tabs: define the availability of translations for the corresponding fields of the base product for the selected locale. Fill in the language tabs as necessary.
  3. To create the base product, click Create, to cancel, click Back.

Upon successful creation of the product, you will be redirected to the card of the newly created base product and the default product variant.

Attention: In the PIM system of the portal, every product has at least one product variant.

Editing a Base Product

  1. To navigate to the product card in the workspace of the Product Catalog section, find the desired product entry and click on the product name.
  2. In the product card, in the navigation menu, select the Basic Information menu item, then click Edit.
  3. Edit the basic information of the base product in the Edit Product form:
    1. Input field SKU: SKU of the base product. Edit the SKU of the base product.
    2. Selection field Categories: allows you to select existing categories in the PIM system. Select the necessary category.

Attention: For detailed information about product categories, see the Product Categories section.

  1. Selection field Family: allows you to select existing product families in the PIM system. Select the necessary family.

Attention: For detailed information about product families, see the Product Families section.

  1. Selection field Brand: allows you to select existing brands in the PIM system. Select the necessary brand.
  2. Selection field Overall Status: allows you to select existing product statuses in the PIM system. Select the necessary status.

Attention: Filtering by overall status is used when working with price lists.

  1. Section Regional Status: allows you to set the regional status of the product for the selected region. Defines the status of the product for the selected region. Select the necessary status for the corresponding region.
  2. Language tab panel:
    • Default:
      • Input field Name (required): defines the name of the base product. Edit the name of the base product.
      • Input field Short Description (required): defines the short description of the base product. Edit the short description of the base product.
      • Input field Full Description (required): defines the full description of the base product. Edit the full description of the base product.
    • Language tabs: define the availability of translations for the corresponding fields of the base product for the selected locale. Edit the language tabs as necessary.
  3. To save changes, click Save, to cancel, click Back.

Upon successful editing of the product, you will be redirected to the card of the edited base product and its variants.

Attention: In the PIM system of the portal, every product has at least one product variant.

Deleting a Base Product

  1. To navigate to the product card in the workspace of the Product Catalog section, find the desired product entry and click on the product name.
  2. In the product card, in the navigation menu, select the Basic Information menu item, then click Edit.
  3. Click Delete, to confirm the deletion, click Confirm, to cancel click Cancel.

Upon successful deletion, you will be redirected to the product catalog, and the deleted base product will disappear from the product list.

Attention: When a base product is deleted, all its variants are also deleted.

Creating a Product Variant

  1. To navigate to the product card in the workspace of the Product Catalog section, find the desired product entry and click on the product name.
  2. In the product card, in the navigation menu, select the Variants and Modifications menu item, then click Add.
  3. Fill in the Create Variant form:
    1. Tab Basic Data:
      1. Input field SKU: SKU of the product variant. Enter the SKU of the product variant.
      2. Toggle Default: allows you to set the product variant as default. Default value is “Inactive.” To select the product variant as default, set the toggle to “Active.”
      3. Input field Quantity per Unit: sets the quantity of product variants per unit. Default value: 1.
      4. Selection field Unit of Measure: allows you to select the unit of measure for the product unit.
      5. Selection field Manufacturing Site: allows you to select the manufacturing site for the product variant. Select the manufacturing site.
      6. Selection field Overall Status: allows you to select existing product statuses in the PIM system. Select the necessary status.
      7. Section Regional Status: allows you to set the regional status of the product for the selected region. Defines the status of the product for the selected region. Select the necessary status for the corresponding region.
      8. Language tab panel:
        • Default:
          • Input field Name (required): defines the name of the base product. Enter the name of the base product.
          • Input field Short Description (required): defines the short description of the base product. Enter the short description of the base product.
          • Input field Full Description (required): defines the full description of the base product. Enter the full description of the base product.
        • Language tabs: define the availability of translations for the corresponding fields of the base product for the selected locale. Fill in the language tabs as necessary.
    2. Tab Prices:
      1. Input field Purchase Price: enter the value of the purchase price of the product.
      2. Selection field Currency: select the currency of the purchase price.
      3. Section Dealer Price: allows you to set dealer prices for the product for various regions in the currencies of the regions. Fill in the values of the corresponding fields for the necessary regions.
      4. Section Retail Price: allows you to set retail prices for the product for various regions in the currencies of the regions. Fill in the values of the corresponding fields for the necessary regions.
    3. Tab Attributes: expand each subsequent group of attributes and enter the necessary values according to the characteristics of the product.
    4. Tab Metadata: generated dynamically.
    5. Tab Logistics:
      1. Input field Height (cm): enter the value of the product height.
      2. Input field Width (cm): enter the value of the product width.
      3. Input field Length (cm): enter the value of the product length.
      4. Input field Weight (kg): enter the value of the product weight.
      5. Input field Volume (m3): enter the value of the product volume.
      6. Toggle Stacking: default value is “Inactive.” If stacking is permissible, set the toggle to “Active.”
        1. Input field Stacking Limit: enter the value of the stacking limit.
      7. Toggle Length Rotation: if length rotation is permissible, set the toggle to “Active.”
      8. Toggle Width Rotation: if width rotation is permissible, set the toggle to “Active.”
  4. Click Save, to cancel, close the product variant creation window.

Upon successful creation of the product variant, the product variant card will be displayed on the screen with the option to add the newly created variant to the cart.

Adding Media and Files

To add media and files, on the left side of the screen in the product card navigation panel, click Media and Files.

In the Media and Files workspace:

  • To add photos, in the upper area of the toolbar, click PhotosUpload.
  • Select the necessary photos, then click Open.

Upload instructions and certificates in a similar manner, first selecting the necessary option on the toolbar:

  • Instructions — to upload instructions.
  • Certificates — to upload certificates.

Upon successful upload, all content will be displayed in the corresponding sections of the product card and in the Media and Files workspace sections.
