Product Families

The Product Families section allows you to create, delete, edit, and restore product families.

Product Families link a product to a set of attributes.

Existing product families are displayed in the workspace of the section as a list.

Description of Product Family List Fields

Field Name	Description
ID	Unique identifier of the product family in the PIM system database
Name	Name of the product family
Products	Number of products in the corresponding family
Attributes	Number of attributes in the corresponding family
Active	Current status of the product family in the system, allows distinguishing between active (available for use) and inactive (temporarily disabled) items in the PIM system database
Translations	Availability of localizations for the product family name, can have values: RU, EN, etc.

Creating a Product Family

1. Go to the Product Families settings section.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Fill out the Create Product Family form:
   1. Input field Code (optional): can be used by external systems to filter product families by code. Not filled in by the user.
   2. Toggle Active: determines the current status of the product family in the system. Default value is "Active". Set the desired value.
   3. Additional tab panel:
      • Default:
        • Input field Name (required): defines the name of the product family. Enter the name of the product family.
      • Language tabs: determine the availability of translations for the product family name for the selected locale. Fill out the language tabs as needed.
4. To create a new family, click Save, to cancel, click Back on the quick navigation panel.

Upon successful creation, the newly created family will be displayed in the section's list.

Editing a Product Family

1. Go to the Product Families settings section.
2. In the workspace of the section, find the desired entry and click Edit.
3. Edit the form:
   1. Input field Code (optional): can be used by external systems to filter product families by code. Not filled in by the user.
   2. Panel Attributes:

Attention: The Attributes panel is available after creating the product family.

• Selection field Attach Attribute: allows selecting an attribute from the list of existing attributes in the system. Select the attribute relevant to your product family, then click Attach.

Attention: Repeat the actions to select the necessary attributes for the corresponding family as many times as needed.

3. Toggle Active: determines the current status of the product family in the system. Default value is "Active". Edit the toggle value.
4. Additional tab panel:
   • Default:
     • Input field Name (required): defines the name of the product family. Edit the name of the product family.
   • Language tabs: determine the availability of translations for the product family name for the selected locale. Edit the language tabs as needed.
5. To save changes, click Save, to cancel, click Back.

Upon successful editing, the edited product family will be displayed in the section's list.

Deleting a Product Family

1. Go to the Product Families settings section.
2. In the workspace of the section, find the desired entry and click Edit.
3. Click Delete. To confirm the deletion, click Confirm, to cancel the deletion, click Cancel.

Upon successful operation, the deleted product family will disappear from the section's list.

Restoring a Product Family

1. Go to the Product Families settings section.
2. In the workspace of the section, toggle Show Deleted.
3. In the workspace of the section, click Edit for the selected product family entry, then click Restore.

Upon successful operation, the restored product family will be displayed in the section's list.
