Routes

Existing routes are displayed in the workspace of the section as a list.

Note: To display deleted records, enable the Show Archived toggle.

Structure of the Routes List

Field NameDescription
IDUnique identifier of the route in the PIM system database
NameRoute name
Production SiteCode of the production site. Starting point of the route.
  • The entity is described in the Production Sites section.
  • One route can have multiple production sites.
  • To go to the edit form of the production site, click on the name of the desired site.
Company WarehouseName of the company warehouse. Endpoint of the route.
  • The entity Company Warehouse is described in the Companies section.
  • To go to the edit form of the company warehouse, click on the name of the warehouse.

At the end of each record, an icon (button) for editing () the corresponding route is displayed.

How to Create a Route

  1. Go to the Routes settings section.
  2. In the workspace of the section, click Add.
  3. Enter the required data in the New Route form:
    1. Input field Name (required): defines the name of the route. Enter the route name.
    2. Selection field Production Site (required): allows you to select the code of the production site (starting point of the route). Select the production site code.

Note: One route can have multiple production sites.

  1. Selection field Company (required): allows you to select existing companies in the system. Select the company name.

Note: The entity is described in the Companies section.

  1. Selection field Company Warehouse (required): allows you to select existing company warehouses (endpoint of the route). Select the company warehouse.
  2. Options Transport Type:
    1. Rail: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    2. Truck: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    3. Sea: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    4. Air: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
  3. Input field Transit Time (days): defines the estimated number of days for the route. Enter the required value (days).
  4. Input field Cost per Cubic Meter: defines the estimated cost per cubic meter in the selected currency. Select the currency and enter the cost value.
  5. Input field Cost for 40' Container (USD): defines the estimated shipping cost when using a 40-foot container in US dollars (USD). Enter the required cost value in US dollars (USD).
  6. Input field for comments Internal Comment: enter the comment text.

Note: The internal comment is available for viewing and editing in the route form.

  1. Click Create, to cancel, click Back in the navigation menu.

Upon successful creation of the route, the newly created route will be displayed in the section list, and a system message will appear in the portal workspace: Route "Route Name" created.

How to Edit a Route

  1. Go to the Routes settings section.
  2. In the workspace of the section, select the desired record and click edit ().
  3. Edit the necessary data in the route editing form:
    1. Input field Name (required): defines the name of the route. Enter the route name.
    2. Selection field Production Site (required): allows you to select the code of the production site (starting point of the route). Select the production site code.

Note: One route can have multiple production sites.

  1. Selection field Company (required): allows you to select existing companies in the system. Select the company name.

  1. Selection field Company Warehouse (required): allows you to select existing company warehouses (endpoint of the route). Select the company warehouse.
  2. Options Transport Type:
    1. Rail: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    2. Truck: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    3. Sea: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
    4. Air: check the option if the corresponding transport type is used in the route.
  3. Input field Transit Time (days): defines the estimated number of days for the route. Enter the required value (days).
  4. Input field Cost per Cubic Meter: defines the estimated cost per cubic meter in the selected currency. Select the currency and enter the cost value.
  5. Input field Cost for 40' Container (USD): defines the estimated shipping cost when using a 40-foot container in US dollars (USD). Enter the required cost value in US dollars (USD).
  6. Input field for comments Internal Comment: enter the comment text.

Note: The internal comment is available for viewing and editing in the route form.

  1. Click Save, to cancel, click Back in the navigation menu.

Upon successful editing, the edited route will be displayed in the section list with the new data, and a system message will appear in the portal workspace: Route "Route Name" updated.

How to Delete a Route

  1. Go to the Routes settings section.
  2. In the workspace of the section, select the desired record and click edit ().
  3. In the route editing form, click Delete, to confirm the deletion click Confirm, to cancel the action click Cancel.

Upon successful operation, the deleted route will disappear from the section list, and a system message will appear in the portal workspace: Route "Route Name" deleted.

How to Restore a Route

  1. Go to the Routes settings section.
  2. In the workspace of the section, enable the Show Archived toggle.
  3. In the workspace of the section, select the desired record and click edit ().
  4. In the route editing form, click Restore, to cancel, click Back in the navigation menu.

Upon successful restoration, the restored route will be displayed in the section list, and a system message will appear in the portal workspace: Route "Route Name" restored.
